The Dalai Lama hints at autonomy with national minority status.

To be brutally concise,the Dalai Lama was in Imphal as a messenger of the West.

We can safely glean the Manipur-specific messages from the whole Dalai Lama speech and his verbal public interactions by striking out those usual and routine(and thus,non-pattern making) stuffs.The usual stuffs are universal brotherhood,non-violence and love.We can easily see those stuffs in Dalai Lama in whatever places he descends.

Now,the unusual and non-routine(and thus pattern making) stuffs:

1)India as a world model for being peaceful despite having all those diversities.

2)He hates feudalism and concentration of power in a single person(Replacing 'person' with 'institution',we can see the Dalai Lama pointing to Chinese Communist Party,which is currently holding its 19th Congress in Beijing).

3)He wants Asian Union in the line EU.

His Holiness expounded these three thoughts despite having told reporters in Imphal itself that he retired from politics when he attained 65 years of age!

But we should not be distracted by such a tiny flaw in the long life of the practising monk of His Holiness.

Instead,we should be brutally focussed.What's presently lying in line of our focus needing urgent note are the thoughs no 1 and 3 of His Holiness.

Thought no 1 tells us that India is peaceful(thus developing or likely to develop) despite populating by vast numbers of peoples speaking different languages and following equally different cultures.Add to this presently available stew yet another flavour in the form of the thought no 3.Then,we find India 'loosening up'a bit in the line EU.Immediately,Nagalim comes to our mind.This must be the reason why His Holiness is universally regarded as a wise monk!

Still,we are not done with the business of adding flavours to the presently availble stew!!

Now,let's add another stew in the form of "Jain as a national minority'.Why Jain in particular?This is a legitimate question.

To answer this question,we need to take note that whenever we talk of Buddhism(where is Buddhism when the Dalai Lama is here?),the shadow of Jainism cannot be far behind us.In their heydays,they were furious rivals.So much so that Jainism is still known as the Buddhist heresy.

Second,Jainsim was accroded the constitutional status of a 'national minority' as recent as 2014.

From the above two points it's compelling to link the Dalai Lama's Imphal visit with Jainism as the recent convert to 'national minority'.

What do the Jains get when they had been given this Statutory recognition as the sixth national minority?(The other five are Christian,Budhist,sikhs,Parsees and Muslim).

First and foremost,the Jains can now manage their religious,cultural and social institutions with minimum interference from New Delhi.

In their educational institutes,they can now reserve 50% of the seat for the Jains.

They now have more flexible elbow room in devising syllabus regarding Jain religious,cultural and social matters.

All these point to the enabling environment for the preservation of what is commonly known as 'identity'--here in our case,the 'Jain identity'.

Now,let's try substituting the words 'Jain' and 'Naga' with 'Manipuri'.Now,we have Manipuri,with all the Constitution safeguards of being a 'national minority' in a geographical set up called Manipur,having much more political elbow rooms by virtue of joining in a 'loosened-up' India,more or less in the line of EU.

Would that be the panacea for the preservation of Manipuri identity?Everybody in present day Manipur knows that it's a life or death question in the backdrop of the agitations for checking of influx of outsiders and Constitutional safeguards for the people in the valley.

Last but not the least,everybody in Manipur knows in the innermost core of his heart that another question needs to be asked as urgently as the first one.

The question:

Is the above path shown by His Holiness,the Dalai Lama a viable trade-off for 'Nongpok Thong'?

Doklam and an assassination by poisoning(with updates 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5).

I bet every single person has been taken by surprise by the sudden resolution of the stand off at Doklam.

But for someone living in Manipur,that surprise has had a double impact.That sudden resolution of the stand off immediately shines back the focus on an assassination by poisoning.

The assassination I'm referring to happened on the 28th June 1017(the resolution at Doklam happened on another 28--the 28th August).Of course,the official press note of the rebel group did not mention either the word 'assassination' or 'poison'.

But,for as an avid pattern reader,one remarkable pattern revealed itself when I read the particular press note published in newspapers of 29th June 2017.

I've been reading the press notes of this particular rebel group for decades altogether now.One remarkable pattern all their press notes exhibited is that they never conceal their deaths.They have consistently not failed to reveal the cause of their deaths,howsoever unsavoury that might be.

Now,following the above link,if one carefully reads the particular press note,it would be clear that it assiduously tries not  to mention the cause of dead,that too,in the case of a leader who was the Vice President of the organisation.

This certainly makes a complete break in the assiduously upheld convention of the group in not fearing to reveal the cause dead of their cadres,which at times,puts the unfavourable focus on the weakness in their military setup.

All these,of course,did not fail to waken up all the latent curiosity in me,the perennial pattern reader!

Remembering another dead of the oldest Naga rebel leader on the 8th of June 2017 and noticing the break in pattern in the particular press note,the sudden question popping up inside me while I was reading the news on the 29th of June 2017 was like this--'Well,well,is this the case of an assassination by poisoning? A health attack?'.

Nonetheless,I was a little bewildered.Imagine the place of the word 'poison' amidst the platoons of AK47 wielding rebels.They take the oaths on 'courage' and 'sacrifice'and still end up putting poisons in each other's foods.

The thought certainly puts a chill on my spine.

With all these feeling weighing down on me,I waited for some days in the hope of hearing some sort of counter attack from the rebel group.While living on this waiting-mode,Doklam standoff diverted all my attention for several months now.

Now,the very moment on which we disengage our attention from the stand off at Doklam serves as the equally sudden starting point of the renewed focusing on the assassination by poisoning.

Any newspaper reader would definitely not miss the crucial point in reading the news of the resolution of the standoff at Doklam.

The crucial point:Not less a standoff, like at Doklam,which have the geo-political potential of altering the current world order has been utilized to shine back the focus on the assassination of the rebel leader by the treacherous use of poisons.

By the same reasoning,it's quite plausible to expect the counter attack from the rebel group for the assassination of their Vice President would likely have the geo-political portent,at least,not less than that of the standoff at Doklam.

In a normal situation,we,of course,cannot read any particular significance in one country wanting a healthy relation with  another country.

But in the context of the main body of this post,the word 'healthy' from the mouth of the Chinese president assumes a meaning of Himalayan significance.

I think we can get a glimpse of how transformative the geopolitical portent might be.For 'geopolitical portent',we have to go back to the main body of this post.

The US Defense Secy arrived in New Delhi in an unannounced visit.To this blogger,the date of the unannounced visit is totally intriguing. It suddenly transports me to a post named 'March 27(updated).I'll reproduce the relevant part below:

If we carefully read the report of the Mattis visit,it will be clear that defense tech transfer formed the main theme.

We have to read this together with with parts of the post 'March 27(updated)' reproduced above which talked of the likely American technology in forcing the fully occupied buses off the road on Imphal-Jiribam highway.  

Of course,I am sounding like a man steeped in believing in conspiracy theories.

But we have to read  another apparently unrelated news.Significantly.the news was datelined 4th of August 17. Something strange happened on the 4th of Dec 16 of which I wrote a post on the following date,the 5th of Dec 16.

When we read the above news carefully,its' quite clear the Japanese,out of nowhere,suddenly started talking of technical support to Manipur.Being datelined 4th of August means that 13th of August is some days away.It seems that the Japanese were trying to say something connected with the 13th.We have to note here that the Japanese,though Asian,are part and parcel of the West.

If we read my post dated 5th of Dec 16,this present post and the above mentioned two news as elements forming a mosaic (and thus capable of producing patterns),we come face to face with a startling revelation of the covert transfer of technology of assassination by poisoning.

In the backdrop of the geo-politically significant 'health attack', as detailed in the main body of the post,the US Health Secretary.Mr Tom Price suddenly resigned on Friday.

I had read the news of the resignation yesterday itself.But I was in two minds over whether to add the news as the third update to this post.

Today,I have decided to add the news as the third update.

Is the resignation just a coincidence?

Even if it is so,it's a tremendously interesting coincidence.


It's really unfortunate,may be,even tragic,for the Manipuri society to take note of the fact that two recent events need to be read with the UPDATE-2 of this post.This turnof events also really saddens me.On the flip side,it's also an urgent challenge to the Manipuri society which needs a well- designed and united response.

Do we have the wherewithal and will to stand upto this challenge?

I'll take the events up in the following UPDATES no 4 and 5.

UPDATE-4

This first event tells us,in no uncertain terms,the significance of the number 4 as the marker of the shadowy agents of the West,actively working within our society.

On the 4th October 17,a man was executed along a road leading to Manipur University.

The victim had his hands tied and was pumped with bullets from close range,which are typical of senseless executions.

I've intentionally waited for more than ten days to see if I could find any clue about the executioners in the public domain.So far,I cannot find anything.This point to the fact that the executioners are professionals,cold-blooded and resourceful.

If we carefully read this news together with the UPDATE-2,it should be clear to one and all that the agents of the West are directly threatening this blog.

The second event tells us of yet another arrival of the news of 'technical support'.

Last time(UPDATE-2),we saw the Japanese offering us unsolicited 'technical support' and then,all of a sudden,there was a wave of attempted assassinations by the use of poisons.

This time a Swiss lady,whose country is,of course,a neutral country,is the bearer of the sinister news.Here,we can,yet again,read another pattern.

Last time,an Asian country was used to bring the news of the marauding West.

This time,the West has cunningly deputed a lady from a neutral country.

But,if the ongoing patterns are to mean anything,it should be clear to everybody concerned that another wave of attempts to assassinate people of our society by use of poisons is coming to our land.


What should be our response?

Taunting the 18th of June.

This year's 18th June celebration is a pattern-breaking affair.

Normally,even while working inside my rooms,I had been bombarded with the loud publicity runs of the coming celebration,at least,one week ahead of the day.

This time,while still working inside my rooms,I heard a grand total of two feeble attempts to call out the public to attend the celebration by using the public address system.

As the pattern-breaking publicity runs of this year's 18th June celebration started  showing its ugly appearance,another even uglier face also began casting its ghastly shadow to the public of Manipur--the face of road accidents and unexplained deaths.

Any light reading of the newspapers to the run-up to the 18th June celebration would notice the unusual spike in road accidents and unexplained deaths.

But road accidents and the 18th of June celevration?

In normal times,it would be a folly to try to read a pattern co-relating road accidents and the 18th of June celebration.

But ours is not the normal time.We are living experiencing crucial moments in the history of our society.To make this point clear,I'm reproducing some portion of my post,entitled "May 27(updated).

Naturally,this question comes to me.

Are the same agents of the West who engineered the series of road accidents along the highways murdering 23 innocent people behind the seemingly unimportant road accidents to the run up to the 18th of June celebration?

It was quite evident that they were not attempting to disrupt the 18th of June celebration.But,in my humble opinion,attempts were made to taunt the most recent historic moment of our society,namely,the 18th of June 2001.

With this weighty thoughts in my mind,I decided to get a feel of the day.So,I made it a point to walk to Kekrupat,the place where the celebration was held.I started out some minutes past 2 pm.The moment I stepped out to the street,I began to notice the diference.In past 18th of June celebrations,Keisampat was always a hub of public transport vehicles and it always saw the chaotic scenes of people trying to jump out of the vehicles when they came for the celebration in the morning and people clamouring to get into the vehicles in the afternoon when they try to grab seats for homeward journey.I distinctly remember that 2 pm was the time around which people saarted to reach the assigned parking hubs(like Keisampat) for their return journey.The usual sight was that of the clouds of anxiety in the faces of women and children in not finding space inside the buses and other assorted vehicles.In sharp contrast,I was greeted with sharp stillness as I stepped  out to the streets.

Then,I reached Keisampat bridge.In the past,there was always a police barrier there,forcefully restricting vehicular entry beyond the barrier towards Nityapat Chuthek.This afternoon there was no police barrier.

Evidently,the police was not expecting any crowd.No crowd on a 18th of June?!How come police seem to have a prior information that there would not a sizable crowd on this 18th of June!

Then,I reached Nityapat Chuthek traffic point.There I was greeted with a major,major spectacle!

Deserted streets! On a 18th of June celebration day!!

As I was looking to walk towards the Western Gate of Kangla I was startled by the major spectacle of deserted looks on both the streets forking out of the traffic point--one travelling towards the Chief Minister's bungalow and the other,towards the Western Gate of Kangla.

Even on a normal day,it's always a hassle in crossing the streets towards Kangla moat.This afternoon there was no such hassle.Crossing the streets.I started walking on the foothpath along the Kangla moat towards the Western Gate of Kangla.

I reached the Western Gate of Kangla.Still the streets were all deserted.I noticed only a handful of people were trying to get entry pass to visit Kangla.As I looked towards the BT Road,I was again greeted with empty sight of this usually bustling street.

Then,I noticed the small police picket stationed on the side of the street in front of the GM Hall.Even at this hour of the day,they seemed to be out of place,in that,they were pressed into duty to manage a non-exiestent crowd.Some among the young faces seemed to be a little confused,if not bewildered,on finding deserted streets all aroumnd them.Were they still yearning for a huge crowd?

Unlike them,I was not searching for a crowd.I was venturing out to get a feel of the day.On most of the past 18th June celebrations days,I did the same thing of getting a feel of the days.On my previous forays,I did not find any deserted streets.On this particular day,if I find deserted streets all around me,I should truthfully absorb the feel of the deserted streets.

But,when I reached the DM College gate and still finding deserted streets,I was a little bewildered.Unconsciuosly.I quickened my pace.In no time,I reached the traffic point of the of North AOC.All I noticed were policemen all around the streets forking out of the traffic point.

As I approached the main gate of the celebration venue,I came face to face with only a trickle people in their twos and threes leaving the palce.I did not enter the gate.Remember I was only intersted in getting the feel of the day!

Instead,I walked pass the main gate along the foothpath leading towards another gate on the banks of the river Imphal.As I was approaching the gate,I encountered groups of policemen leaving the gate and walking towards me.One group quickly walked passing me.When another group was passing me,I asked them about the status of the celebration.Out came the quick reply--'They are about to wrap up the celebration'.

I was stunned.It must be barely 2.30 in the afternoon.In the past celebrations,the organizers were always strugglling to wrap up the function even while the dusk set in--normally,the organizers could not find adequate time for all those eager to participate in the function.

Immediately.I turned backed and started walking backed home.

As I walked back,it was clear in my mind that some faceless and sinister forces were taunting the 18th of June.

Another 22

As we are going to deal with 'another' 22, we first need to acquaint ourselves with the 'other' one.That was the subject of my post of March 23,2017.As the post was a very short one, I'm reproducing it in full below.

The pattern is loud and clear.

I'm writing this post as an avid pattern reader--nothing more,nothing less.It should be put on record that I strongly condemn both the attacks,though the pattern they produce hugely interests me.

Is the 14th of May,2017 a watershed in world history as China officially challenge the West by initiating two day OBOR summit(14th and 15th May) in Beijing?

It's too early to answer this question but everybody readily admits that the challenge to the West is being publicly announced in Beijing beginning on the 14th of May.

In this backdrop of crucial moment of world history we also come across no less crucial inflection point in Manipur's histoy.

Reading todays Imphal newspapers (which contains the news datelined the 14th May,2017) we come face to face with still fuzzy contours of the 'Nongchup Thong'.In my last post,we asked ourselves this question-can there be a historically and geo-politically sanctified constituent for the Nongchup Thong within the Manipuri society?.In asking the momentous question we depended solely on the constricted political space occupied by the rebels to provide us the clues.(My last post).

Now the clues are coming out on more open spaces.

But as I said earlier, the clues are still fuzzy and its still too early to try to connect the dots and establish a discernible profile of the 'Nongchup Thong'.

I'm writing this post solely to put on record this historic date.

Agents of the West infiltrate the Manipuri rebel camps inside Burma

As the US was dropping the biggest non-nuclear bomb over Afghanistan,two  Manipuri rebels inside camps in Burma were deserting posts to surrender to the government authorities in Moreh.

They did their surrender in the early morning Thursday,brought to Imphal and presented before the media in an official ceremony the same morning.How the mortally lethargic Manipur government machineries become so nimble footed overnight!

The speedy and evidently flawless operation point to well-oiled logistic support and days of careful planning.

Now,if we go over to my last post,we would see that as the US president was phoning the Indian prime minster,there was that flawless(again!)operation to push two passenger buses and a commercial lorry into deep mountainous gorges along the highways,killing 23 innocent people.

From murderng innocent bus passengers to engineering rebel surrender,they are becoming bolder--the agents of the West are sure becoming more bolder.They are also becoming extremely cunning:by engineering the surrender in a particular rebel group they are scheming to let people label that particular group as the agents of the West.But any right thinking person can see through their scheming.Real cheap shot.

To my mind,these are the simmering symptoms withn the Manipuri society for the manisfestation of Western Gate(Nongchup Thong).Can there be a historically and geo-politically sanctified constituent for the Nongchup Thong within Manipuri society?

There is complete unanimity in our society that the only way our society can survive and then leapfrog to the next level of development is through battling towards the Eastern Gate(Nongpok Thong).Nongpok Thong is the only way for Manipuri society.

So,I'm repeating the question--can there be a historically and geo-politically sanctified constituent for the Nongchup Thong within Manipuri society?

March 27(updated)

Yesterday,the US president,Mr Donald Trump, telephoned the Indian prime minister,Mr Narendra Modi.The main focus of the telephone call was the congratulatory talk from the US president's side to the Indian prime minister on his win of the recent states assembly polls.

Coming more than a forthnight late,yesterday's congratulatory talk of the US president is outrigiht abnormal.

And we need not remind ourselves that the leader of the West does not make any call at a random date.He does so on a carefully chosen date.

So,why March,27?

I've been trying all the day long to answer this question.But the answer appears to be beyond me.

On a lighter note,I never imagine that I would ever publish posts bearing the timestamped dates as the titles.Now,I have two such posts in a row.

May be,sheer forces of history are conspiring to make an entanglement of the two dates--I mean,the two dates serving as the titles of the two posts.

I've been on my screenplay(Yes!I do have a screenplay in progress!!) cooking up a love triangle with a twist.Two women and a man.The jealous(and slighted) woman schemes to secretly add viagra to the food the man eats just hours before he leaves to meet his woman.By adding viagra,the jealous woman hopes for a date rape and the resultant conflict between the man and the hated other woman.

As this blog has just exposed their terrorist acts,would these agents of the West target this blogger as well?

Artificial land demands:30 for IS and 13 for Yogi Adityanath

We can roughly say that today marks the 30th day of Mr Rajnath Singh's last visit to Imphal.It was on the 19th of February 2017.I have also a post dealing with it.(my next to last post).

We have to remind ourselves that it took more than 90 days to retake Eastern Mosul from IS hands.Going by that estimate we have another 60 days to retake the Western part of Mosul.IS fighters inside Western Mosul are all completely surrounded and they will fight to death--each of one them.

Counting 60 days from today,we can visualize the decisive moment coming at around 19th May.

1)Last afternoon,Yogi Adityanath's elevation as the UP CM made headlines.Some commentators stated that with Yogi Adityanath,the fringe elements within BJP has come to occupy the centrestage.Yogi Adityanath is the face of BJP's communal and fundamentalist inner self--the concept of Hindutva.

I was also thinking of the longterm impact of Yogi Adityanath's elevation to the CM's post.It's a well-known fac that anyone who has occupied the chair of UP chief ministership is always considered to be a legitimate candidate for the for the prime ministership of India.So,has the RSS already started grooming Yogi Adityanath as the future successor of Prime Minister.Mr Narendra Modi?

On a more benign note,I also thought that selecting a member of parliament might mean to scuttle any incipient factionalism withn the ranks of the newly elected BJP members of the UP assembly.With all his faults,the yogi seems to be a quite a popular leader.He was first elected as the member of parliament at a young age of 26 and since then,has been elected for five consecutive terms.He has the exact resume for selecting to lead the newly elected MLAs of the UP Assembly and to scuttle any incipient factionalism within their ranks.

2)But at around last midnight,my views on the political developments in UP underwent a drastic change.At that time,I came to know that the 139 days old economic blockade along the highways of Manipur had been lifted.(Here,we must not fail to note that the Prime Minister,Mr Narendra Modi,in person,publicly announced in Imphal that the economic blockade would be lifted if his party was voted to power.Now,all of a sudden,the  economic blockade was lifted.This was executed while his party have been murdering democracy in Manipur.This shows,without any shred of doubt,that he can always persuade the blockaders to end their adventure but he did not do so for for the last 139 days.Why? This is the question every Manipuri is asking to themselves.)

Anybody who has some interest in numerology(and a good sense of a conspiracy theorist!) would not fail to note that the blockade was lifted on 139(1+3+9=13) days.

The number 13 directly points to Yogi Adityanath,the new UP CM.The Yogi is the exact symbol of the celebration of India's khilafat moment(my next to last post).I'm quoting from the post:

In selecting Yogi Adityanath as the CM of UP,the ruling class of India is emphasizing 'India's Khilafat moment'(by putting the focus on Jihad by brandishing their own version,Hindutva,of which,the Yogi is the posterboy).Another way looking at the issue is that the ruling class of India is trying to spin a web of lies or pretense around the staright forward existense of artificial land demands in Manipur,which,for the Manipuris,is the question of life and death.

So,come some weeks into the 19th May(as the decisive moment in Western Mosul can be expected 90 days plus some weeks) we might come face to face with the battle royale between the pretense of India's ruling and hard realities of Manipur.

The public desecration of the most valued ethos of the Manipuris on an important day

The Prime Minister of India had just publicly desecrated one of the most valued ethos of the Manipuris

Deep down in the hearts of all Manipuris there are the pure instint to love unconditionally all things related to the hills and the mountains surroudning them.The ongoing economic blockade,though slowly but surely acquiring a geo-political dimension,has its genesis in the hill-plain relationship.The last thing a Manipuri wants is to put a condition on the hill-plain relatioship.

The Prime Minister of India has just done that when he publicly proclaimed in Imphal that his political party,BJP,would end the econmic blockade if voted to power.

To my mind the Prime Minister did it fully knowing that it would trample on the feelings of the Mamipuris.To multiply the impact of this trampling he also chose a particular day in February which happens to the birthday of one of the most important rebel groups of Manipur.

Another unspoken feeling truly embraced by all Manipuris is that the ongoing economic blockade is the negation of all thngs considerd to be the values of a good human being--they silently consider it to be a crime against humnanity.The last thing they want is hearing anybody,least of all,a prime minister of the country,to put a condition on becoming a good human being.

The corollary is that the BJP Prime Minsiter of Inida had just publicly conoceded the defeat of his party in the election of Manipur Legislative Assembly.

The only reason why he was doing that so cheerfully is that he has other important thing in mind--the thing which have far more importance than a five yearly election to a State Legislative Assembly.That's why he had chosen this particular day in February.

In another sense,this is a publicly announced challenge to the rebel groups of Manipur.

The Prime Minister of India to the rebel groups of Manipur--we will continue the economic rendering the diminutive rebels of Manipur effectively option less;now is the moment for these rebels to publicly showcase an action plan to counter our move,the economic blockade.

Artificial land demands:Pema's innocence and Rajnath's 'Khilafat moment'.

Today should be a memorable day for Manipur.That is,for no particular reason,other than the person of Mr Pema Khandu,the Arumachal Pradesh Chief Minister.Suddenly,Mr Pema Khandu jumped into A-lister space,in the same league of Mr Rajnath singh,India's Home Minsiter.That is,judging by the space occupied by Mr Pema Khandu in the front page ads in Imphal dailies.

Why giving such an intriguing importance to Mr Pema Khandu?

In the present context of Manipur,election for the State Legislative Assembly is the topmost priority for everbody concerned.But even in the context of electoral politics.Mr Pema Khandu is a novice.

Then,why this intriguing importance given to him?

Let's try justaposing this question with two major headlines of today.

1)US aircraft carrier group starts patrol in the South China sea.

2)The Iraqi Prime Minister personally announces the start of offensive against Islamic State in West Mosul.

Seen in this new perspective,we can infer that Mr Pema Khandu is not merely the Chief Minister but the symbol of Arunachal Pradesh,which is an actively disputed area between India and China.Wasn't Rajnath Singh's main focus here the territorial integrity of Manipur?The flip side of Manipur's territorial integrity is the question of Naga's ancestral land,which is the covenient way of putting up artificial demands for land.By letting in Mr Pema Khandu into surreal world of A-lister political players,didn't Mr Rajnath Singh,by deed,say that the land disputes in Manipur is real and vey much throbbing with life?

Now comes another area of artificial land disputes--South China sea.Between two combatants,US aircraft carrier starting patrols there coinciding with Mr Rajnath Singh's Imphal visit is wholly appropriate.We can take it as the legitimate parrading of one combatant's military assets.

But Islamic State?

Here we hve to note that it's not the routine offesive agaisnt IS.Iraqi Prime Minster made it a point to announce the start of the offensive in person in a televised address to his countrymen.

Now,we see that all the three develpoments are the culmination of a carefully planned and well co-ordinated joint efforts of several nations spanning several continents.

But the question remains still unanswered--why drag in IS into the fighting space of two combatants where main point of contest is the artificial demands for land?

We start probing the issue by remembering the narrative of development.Whenever the issues of insurgencies of Maoist and NE come up,we immediately come face to face with the narrative of development.If there is development,there would be no issues of the two insugencies.This is the classic example of skirting the real issue by dragging in another apparently related story,here,the story of development.Did Mr Rajanth Singh just make a start in trying to skirt the central issue of artificial demands for land by dragging in the story of IS?

Having come this far,we are now confronted with immediate practical issue.Would the guardians of the Khilafat spirit remain silent and inactive sensing India's 'Khilafat moment'?

Another practical issue in the near term is military one.

Once Mr Rajnath Singh effortlessly glided down to Imphal and during the same night he was staying in Imphal,nearly 50 Burmese soldiers were killed in an ambush in Kokang area of Burma.In response,there was that ambush in Paraolon in Chandel district of Manipur.If my memory does not fail me the number of Dogra Regiment soldiers killed in the Praolon ambush was 19.

Today is 19.Apparently,Mr Rajnath Singh wants everybody to remember the Paraolon ambush.

So,could we expect a military story in the near term as a direct impact of Mr Rajnath Singh's 'Khilafat moment' incorporated Imphal visit?

Jallikattu equals intervention,economic blockade,non-intervention.

This is as stark as stark can be.

It's just like some kindergarten teachers holding starkly coloured objects in front of the kids to differentiate betwenn 'a' for apple and 'b'for ball.

On date 19-01-2017,some angelic kindergarten teachers appeared amidst the Delhi fogs to teach the Manipuri 'kids' meeting the Union home minister to differentiate between 'i' for intervention and 'n'for non-inetervention.

Recalling his interaction with the Prime Minister on January 19 on the issue, Mr Panneerselvam said the Tamil Nadu government had issued an Ordinance, enabling the conduct of the bull-taming sport, after obtaining the prior instructions of the President as envisaged under Article 213 of the Constitution.

"The Ordinance was promulgated today by the government of Tamil Nadu and jallikattu is to be conducted with customary fervour all over the state with all the necessary safeguards," he said.

In our college days lecturers took so much pains to drive home point that the UK monarch can influnce the current political development though,by convention,the monarch is above politics.In our class,lecturers pointedly gave the example of the monarch showing a faint facial disapproval of the incumbent prime minister while meeting him.Words can spread pretty quickly that the monarch is not approving of the elected prime minister.This can be disatrous for any British prime minister.

Just like the above case,prime minister,Mr Narendra Modi,without speaking any words,willed that the ban on jalliklattu should be lifted.Things fell in line pretty quickly.The President of India himself gave prior assent to the coming executive order of the state of Tamil Nadu.Even the Supreme Court said it would delay passing any judgement on the matter.

In Manipur's case,it's quite apparent that the Prime Minster willed that the economic blockade should continue.

I think we don't need any kindergarten teachers and starkly coloured objects to come to know this.
