Indeed, what is at work in the recent return of realism is the revenge of geography in the most old-fashioned sense. In the 18th and 19th centuries, before the arrival of political science as an academic specialty, geography was an honored, if not always formalized, discipline in which politics, culture, and economics were often conceived of in reference to the relief map. Thus, in the Victorian and Edwardian eras, mountains and the men who grow out of them were the first order of reality; ideas, however uplifting, were only the second.
And yet, to embrace geography is not to accept it as an implacable force against which humankind is powerless. Rather, it serves to qualify human freedom and choice with a modest acceptance of fate. This is all the more important today, because rather than eliminating the relevance of geography, globalization is reinforcing it. Mass communications and economic integration are weakening many states, exposing a Hobbesian world of small, fractious regions. Within them, local, ethnic, and religious sources of identity are reasserting themselves, and because they are anchored to specific terrains, they are best explained by reference to geography. Like the faults that determine earthquakes, the political future will be defined by conflict and instability with a similar geographic logic. The upheaval spawned by the ongoing economic crisis is increasing the relevance of geography even further, by weakening social orders and other creations of humankind, leaving the natural frontiers of the globe as the only restraint.
So we, too, need to return to the map, and particularly to what I call the “shatter zones” of Eurasia. We need to reclaim those thinkers who knew the landscape best. And we need to update their theories for the revenge of geography in our time.

My view is that relations between countries in the coming decades are most likely to reflect their cultural commitments, their cultural ties and antagonism with other countries rather than other factors. Quite obviously, power will continue to play a central role in global politics, as it always does. But usually there is something else behind conflicts. In the 18th century in Europe, the issues to a large extent involved questions of monarchy versus the emerging republican movements, first in America and then in France. In the 19th century, it involved states identifying themselves through nationalism. In the 20th century, ideology came to the fore, largely, but not exclusively, as a result of the Russian Revolution. We had fascism, communism and liberal democracy competing with each other. Well, that’s pretty much over. Liberal democracy has come to be accepted, in theory at least, around the world, if not always in practice. So the question really is what will be the central focus of global politics in the coming decades? My argument remains that cultural identities, antagonisms and affiliations will not only play a role, but play a major role in relations between states. The full interview is here.

Every citizen in the City of Richardson will be able to access 756 Kbps of internet connectivity for free, from anywhere in the city. They will be able to access the internet from their homes, schools, restaurants and parks using standard wi-fi connections which are now installed on almost every notebook computer. That is almost as fast as many so-called high speed broadband connections that one pays dearly for today, and several times faster than the various hotspots at your local coffee shops. And I should note that the tax-payers of the City of Richardson are not paying one penny for this, and in fact are going to see additional revenues as a benefit. ... At the beginning of this letter, I suggested that this would be one of the fastest worldwide rollouts of a technology ever seen. It was just 20 years ago that the first cellular systems were being built. The rollout for mesh wireless systems is going to make that look slow. There are several reasons I make this assertion. But they all center on the facts that installing mesh systems will be cheaper and easier than any previous system and the economics in both the developed and especially the developing world will be so radically compelling. Throw in the fact the any astute politician will want to be at the front of this parade (They will all want to say, "I was the man who helped bring free internet to everyone!") and the groundwork is laid for rapid deployment. In Richardson and elsewhere, MeshLinx is offering the basic infrastructure for free. This avoids all the time consuming, political budget battles in the cities. When a service is offered for free, much of the mandated competitive process is eliminated. Next is the low cost of installation of the system. As noted above, Richardson is a city of roughly 100,000 people living in 27.4 square miles. It will "only" cost about $2,000,000 today to lay the wireless blanket I mentioned above. It will cost a great deal less in the future, as MeshLinx is building the pods at a pace of 100 a month today. The maximum output of the US pilot assembly line is 500 a month. When the demand exceeds this (and it will in a very short time) discussions have been held to move volume production to China. Of course, the world will need tens of millions of pods. The cost for a pod will be a fraction of today's cost, with that installation number for a city like Richardson soon being half (or less) the cost of today. What does that $1 or 2 million get you? The infrastructure to be an internet connection, telephone, security, entertainment provider and a whole lot more company. As noted, it will get cheaper as the number of pods being made each month rises, thus lowering their costs dramatically. This technology does have scale. The cost of physically putting up a pod is not a large part of the equation, as you simply need to run a power line, attach a few bolts to a mount on the side of a building or light pole and then off to the next point. Think about the 40,000 homes and businesses in Richardson. If and (hopefully) over time when 10% decide to pay $50 a month for 10-20 Mbps high speed internet access you could see a revenue of $2.5 million a year just from internet access. Now add in all the other income possibilities (phone, entertainment, security and don't forget advertising revenue on the free service!). Think about your town or country. What would service like this be worth? If you are a small city that does not have high speed connections available, how many businesses that could bring jobs do not come your way because they need reliable communications for their work and their employees? If you are in a developing country, where internet access is difficult and expensive, it will open whole new vistas. Couple that with the various programs which want to give cheap laptops to kids in poor countries, and you could see significant social progress in a generation. Here is the link.

The Tatmadaw-linked US Capitol lockdown points to nuclear powered-drones?

This post should be read together with my last post.

As the title suggests, I am into completely uncharted territory.To assuage myself,I have been googling for some links to support this post.All I could find are the some security analysts whose unconfirmed 'information' support my viewpoint.But I do not want to name those analysts.

The best I can do is to re-read a past post of mine to make my point that this post is not the first time I tried venturing into risky but rewarding piece of writing.Let's go to a relevant section of my past post.

Now,the decisive question--

Does the date 11th Dec 2018 bring the narrative of the predators towards the New Lazang sector along the India Burma border?

now,the surreal question--

Did the predators attack the elite commandos of the India's military in the battle of 11th Dec 2018?

This question makes me all shaken up to the core of my being.So far,I have been simply coming to a point where my objective deductions make me travel to.But this particular deduction makes me stunned.

Is this scenario of predators as the tools of war possible?

Is it biological warfare?

This is terrifyingly disorienting for me.

But I should not end abruptly.I should return to the mundane affairs of this update.We have the last question--

Does this possibility of the predators as the tools of war make our first groups within the Manipuri society sense that the existence of the predators would tilt the competition decisively against them?

We should not take the points raised in the above reproduced part of my past post lightly.There are two reasons:

(a) The US Defense Department officials,in their press briefings,accused China of trying to biologically 'enhance' their soldiers.

(b) Now,Elon Musk's Neuralink have already implanted a chip inside a monkey's brain.The monkey can play video games by itself.

Now,I will summarize how I come to the idea of a nuclear powered-drones.

(1) If we re-read my last post,it is to be noted that we expect a lot of bloodshed in the aftermath of the casualties in the Tatmadaw side in the Nampalong battlefield.

The next day itself we saw a heavy blood shedding in central India.

But the scale of bloodletting seen there is almost normal now-a-days.

(2) So,(1) is not the story the 'Tatmadaw-US Capitol' narrative had to tell the world.

So,what's the story?

Where do we find it?

These are the questions that kept me fixated to the news sources I trust most.

(3) Suddenly,I have found something interesting.

The story was the payment of one million dollar as the commission for the Rafale deal.As I read the news I became disappointed as it had now pointed out the payment was meant for miniature model of Rafale.'What is this story',I said to myself.

(4) Then,it happened.

Out of blue,one topic became trending in Twitter.

The topic is like this: "The Government of India will give one billion US dollar in cash if anyone come forward to 'make-in-India' chips in India".

This is the trigger to make me think of drones and Meng Wanzhou.

Meng Wangxhou is the CFO of Huawei,who is under arrest in Canada.Canada arrested her as its Southern neighbour officially want her extradited to their land,the US.The arrest and the ongoing trial of Meng hanzhou is the only tangible episode where one put his/her finger on the much-trumpeted US-China rivalry.

Meng and chips are connected.This we can understand graphically if we know that Huawei was forced to sell off it sub-brand,Honor.The reason is that Huawei cannot find any vendor to supply enough chips.All the chipmakers have parts which has patented US tech.And US government had blacklisted Huawei.So,any chipmaker selling chips to Huawei is liable to be prosecuted under the US laws.

Here,we must note that China is the only country in the world which is producing chips not containing US-patented tech.But their products are not state-of-the-art yet.The current and competitive phones(like Huawei make) need the state-of-the-art chips.

(5) But drones? What about drones?I know drones have chips but it is a weak connection.Another link is the miniature model of Rafale.This second link is also weak. I am looking for robust connection.

Again,I kept reading news minutely,trying to seek out the unexpected and veiled details.

(6) Again,it happened.

I was reading the news of Russian forces amassing its troops and weaponry along the Ukraine border.It started on the 1st of April 2021.Right now,heavy fighting is reported around Donbass.

The situation becomes so dire that the US Army chief is forced to have telephonic discussion about the matter with his Russian counterpart.

As the mass transportation was happening several security analysts have quoted unconfirmed sources as saying that Russian have now successfully miniaturize nuclear propulsion so that that their mobile SAM units can be re-fueled only once in six months.If it is true it is a huge development.

We should not wave aside their report.

Every nation has secretly working on miniaturization of nuclear proplusion.Even some US space startups has put their money on the nuclear-powered rocket engine--they are not aiming for some distant future but ,are aiming for workable prototype within some years.

Has the Chinese beaten them all in the race of manufacturing of deployment ready nuclear-powered drones?

This is a huge question.

But if we go back to the points mentioned in (a) and (b) above,we can safely say that the possibility is quite real.

In this backdrop,we should drag in the special relationship between the 'Unseen actors' and China.

As in the case of the predators,the nuclear-powered drones must be deployed first by the 'Unseen actors'.

As was discussed in my last post,we had expected attacks on the base areas of the rebel groups of Manipur,who,along with New Delhi,pulled the strings to attack the Tatmadaw in and around Namphalong.

My gut feelings tell me those attacks had already happened,inflicting heavy losses to the bases located along India-Burma border.

These rebel groups,secretly aligning with India.are now severely weakened,both morally and militarily.

The Tatmadaw and the lockdown in the US capitol.

I am losing track of how the 'Heingang personality'(my last post) drags itself into the centrestage of what has been happening during the last few days.This blog has been continuously chronicling all those events in the several last few posts.

Between my last post and the writing of this new post,the 'Heingang personality' has coaxed,through her Instagram stories,her followers to follow one particular account,which has something to do with 'home'.

That propels me to look back to this post of mine.The title of that particular post is "Yet another set,this time,inside their mountain-top 'homes'?".It was dated 28th December 2020.

I am reproducing the relevant part that points to the 'Heingang personality':

A well-known person from the Heinganag Assembly constituency came out(on one of the social media accounts of that person,which,by the ways,happens to have a substantial followers) with a curious video clip--curious in the sense the video clip shows that person standing on a mountain top at this time of the season!

I had a chance to feel how the weather is beating down on the residents of the towns of the mountain ranges of Manipur--it was snowing there.The video was by a random youtuber;at first sight,I thought it might be somewhere in Korea.Only when the

youtuber started to speak I came to realize the scene belongs to some mountain-top towns of Manipur,In that cell phone video I could easily see the snows coming down relentlessly--I thought how cold it might be there.

In such a weather,that Heingang personality did not stand on just a simple mountain top--that particular mountain top looks down on a several rows of velvety mountain tops.Highest mountain top of that particular geographical area!!

Now,what's makes us asking a lot of questions after seeing this particular video clip?

Then,it happened.

We got the news late last afternoon.

(1) 6 (six? See the coincidence?) Tatmadaw soldiers were killed in an encounter in and around Namphalong.Possibly during the encounter,a mortar shell crossed over to the Indian territory.Amazingly,it landed inside the Indian Army's Assam Rifles compound.injuring one soldiers.

That mortar shell is making history.

An official Tatmadaw mortar shell lands inside inside Indian territory,marking the beginning of a new paradigm.

(2) If we connect this history making mortar shell with the 'Heingang personality',it is beyond doubt now that another set of attacks on the mountain-top 'homes' had happened during the last few days.I have no idea when.

(3) So,the Namphalong attack is in retaliation of those attacks.

Who are the real operatives on the ground physically attacking the Tatmadaw in and around Namphalong?

(4) In trying to answer this question,let us go to the next step.

There is already the hint of the coming of the retaliation to the Namphalong attack.

Right at the moment,US Capitol is on lock down,enforced by the National Guards.

A car rammed a peripheral barricade of the capitol.One police officer was killed and the attacker was also shot death.

I am not saying that the US is behind the Namphalong attack.

Instead,it is being hinted at the ground operatives of the Namphalong attack.It is an ethnic group of Burma.Being Christian,they are, by and large,obsessed with, through their Church leaders,shifting to the US.

The operatives of the Namphalong attack belong to that ethnic groups.The string of the attack was,of course,pulled from Imphal and New Delhi.

Here also,we are facing with yet another tipping point in history--the Government of India is directly intervening in the intra-rebel fights in counter-insurgency journey of the Indian state.

The US capitol lockdown hints at the ethnic group inside Burma.

Another two attacks on Manipur-based rebel groups and actors in New Delhi should be anticipated.

We would certainly be witnessing a lot of blood shed in the coming days.

Why querying about body double leads us to the targeting of the relatives of the Heingang personality?

Here,I am not into speculations.

I am,instead,trying to get enlightened by the available circumstantial evidences.

(1) Let us go back a little in time.Closing part of 2019 and the place of action was London.

I have chronicled my reaction to that event in my post entitled,'A case of unwittingly empowering the coercive agencies like the NIA?',dated 31st Oct 2019.I am reproducing the relevant portion of that post:

Amidst the chaos we are experiencing right at the moment,we must consciously pinch ourselves so as to make us remember that

Manipur's destiny lies in the opening up of the Eastern Gate(Nongpok Thong).

I watched the GEO TV clip of the London affair.All I got was the work of a camera panning and capturing all the actors present in the room--it was panning from a distance.

Manipur's people definitely deserve a far better video clip of the event.

The camera should properly roll into the face of the lead actor.Then,it should catch the main acror speaking out directly and succinctly what the media have been hollering from the rooftop during the past few days.

Manipur's people deserve to hear the message straight from the horse's mouth.

Surprisingly,the action had suddenly shifted to Imphal.On the 29th March 2021,we are again presented by the same video graphic manipulation.The NIA has made its homework properly--being the long Yaoshang press holiday,there would be negligible number of cameras waiting in the Bir Tikendrajit International airport.Consequently,we got the long-range videographic images,quickly panning towards the waiting police vans.

How fitting! Just the repeat of the London event!!

(2) Through the long-range videographic imagery we could only make a person,wearing the signature black outfit,with thick glasses and a receding hairline.

The rest of his face was fully covered with a bandana!

Before the London event itself,I had several opportunities to watch him in several videos.In all them,he was a thickset man with a measured and heavy foothsteps.

The glimpse of the person we had of on the 29th March in Bir Tikendra airport was a sprightly man with light footsteps.

I cannot resist myself in asking this question--is NIA using a body double?

(3) The next 2 days saw me in restless quest trying to make sense of the above question.The following day brought us another surprise.Manipur's daily suddenly hit the newstands.The usual pattern dictates that they should come out to the newstand on the 3rd April.Is there some changes in the usual practice? All the newspapers of that day had got the imprint of lack of planning and rush-jobs.

Besides this,we got a surprising news item.

On the 29th March the police had made arrest of 8 people inside the premises of airport itself.Those people,led by the wife of the person, raised slogans in support of him.As the person was arrested by the NIA in sedition charges,all the 8 persons are deemed to be supporting sedition as well.

What intrigues me the most is the significance of number 8.

The number 8 points to our 'Heingang personality',as she was born on a eight day of a particular month.

Why 'Heingang personality' in this junctures?

The 'Heingang personality' has a primal relationship with the 'unseen actors'.

I have seven numbers of past posts dealing with 'Unseen actors' and the 'Heingang personality'.We have to go back and read them up all of them to understand these two actors.

The said posts start with 'Unbelievable political development in Kakching and India's favourite rebel group',dated 10th November,2020 and conclude with 'Engineering the wildfire to equal the most chilling Meitei-Naga sectarian clash',dated 10th January,2021.

(4) We have already two unanswered questions:

--Is the NIA using a body double?

--Why 'Heingang personality' in the juncture?

The scene got even murkier when we came to know all the eight persons arrested are the relatives of the person with the bandana in his face.

--Are they now starting targeting the relatives of the 'Heingang personality?

This sounds like a feudalistic blood revenge.

To make the point clear how the 'Heingnag personality' is being targeted,I am reproducing the relevant parts from my post entitled,'We will continue the treasonous acts of completely destroying Manipuri society',dated the 9th March 2021.

Now, they are making news about 27th Nonemeber fracas on the 8th March 2021(I read it on today's newspapers).By doing so on International Women's Day,they are reiterating that they are continuing with their criminal activity to hurt the lady celebrity by engineering a chemically-induced fracas with her neighbours(similar to that happened in Kakwa).

Keeping this context in focus,there is need to discuss the recent death of a popular film actor from Singjamei.She was only 53.She crossed over to film from the theatre,where she was trained from her early age.It is common knowledge that anyone who grows up in Manipur's theatrical tradition should lead a very disciplined life.Someone who leads a very disciplined life dying at the age of 53? This does not add up.

From the first moment I heard the news of her death,I had suspected foul play.

In a blockbuster film,she plays the villain to our 'Heingang personality'.If the 'unhinged' take out the villain,they are effectively saying--'We wanted to show our love for you by taking out the villain but,now time has changed and in the changed scenario, you are next in line'.

Isn't this the public display of the height of sadism?

I suspect that the Singjamei artist was murdered by slow poisoning ( like they have been trying to me for the last six years) as a dramatic warning to our 'Heingang personality'.
